Day 1 | Arrival in Bangalore
Arrival in Bangalore and welcomed by a smiling Maavalan representative to be seamlessly checked in at your hotel to get over the jet lag. Maavalan and South India Tourism welcomes you to Karnataka.

Day 2 | Bangalore – Kabini
Kabini is a famous wild life reserve with a lot of game sightings of leopards and tigers. A lot of course depends on your luck. You will start your tour in the dense tropical rain forests that will relax your mind and at the same time, you remain alert at the slightest possibility of a game appearing anywhere in the surroundings!

Day 3 | Kabini – Mysore
In the morning after a second visit of the wild life reserve and after lunch, you will drive to the once capital city of Mysore. A city growing by the day as it is becoming the annex to Bangalore the present capital of Karnataka and India’s Information Technology hub.

Day 4 | Mysore Visits
You begin to appreciate the richness of South India Tourism. The Mysore Palace is quite a sight with a mix of European and Indian art modeled after the old wooden Palace that burned down in the late 1800’s. The Mysore market with its beautifully arranged fruits and vegetables, unending flower garlands coiled up in huge heaps; they are a photographer’s delight. A short drive away from the city is the island of Srirangapatnam housing the summer palace of Tipu Sultan known as the Tiger of Mysore.

Day 5 |Mysore – Hassan
On your South India travel, you gradually start moving a little North. On the way to Hassan, visit Sharavanabelagola, a Jain pilgrimage centre famed for its impressive 17 metre tall monolithic statue of Bahubali carved out of the mountain. In the afternoon feast your eyes on the intricately designed sculptures and lotus shaped temples of Belur and Halebid dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries AD. Day 6 | Hassan – Hospet
At the crack of dawn, travel to Hospet, a dusty mining city. After this journey and a restful siesta soak in your first view of Hampi at dusk from the palace area beholding the beauty of this unusual nature blending in with the magnificent ruins of the Capital of the Vijayanagara Kings.

Day 7 | Hospet
After having dreamt of Hampi, you will be energized to commence your visits at sunrise at the Ganesh statue of Hampi with the early slanting rays of the sun illuminating the stone structure and further continue by foot and vehicle around this massive historic site. Take a break at noon. Finish your visits later in the afternoon to have better colours of the setting sun.

Day 8 | Hospet – Badami
Late in the morning arrive at Aihole capital of the Chalukya Kings during the 5th century AD and discover the start of stone temple architecture in what is today a small village with around 100 temples. Then move on to the 7th century at Pattadakal where you will find temples of the North, South and Central Indian architectural styles. After lunch you will visit the fabulous 8th century cave temples in red sandstone of Badami.

Day 9 | Badami-Bijapur=Hyderabad
Up in the North of Karnataka, Bijapur a dusty, bustling small city has an impressive mosque to offer with the largest dome in India and the much smaller but more beautiful Ibrahim Rosa. It is the one of the undiscovered beautiful places to visit in Karnataka. Late in the afternoon, board the Train for a night journey to Hyderabad.

Day 10 | Hyderabad
Arrive in the Capital of Andhra Pradesh, Maavalan aided check-in at the hotel and then visit the animated lively streets around the Charminar, the famed mosque of Hyderabad, the city of the rich Nizams and their palaces, glass bangles, pearls and expensive jewellery. Day 11 | Hyderabad
Your discovery of Hyderabad travel and knowledge begins today. The mines which produced 5 out of 10 of the world famous highest quality diamonds, including The KOHINOOR, which now sits on the Queen’s crown in England, are situated just outside Hyderabad, the capital of the Qutab Shaie rulers. GOLCONDA, it is said the streets were carpeted and the shops sold Diamonds and Pearls. Unfortunately today the magnificent fort lies in ruins filled with history that echoes on its walls. Also visit the Qutab Shahi Tombs nearby.
