Day 1 | Arrival in Madras-Mahabalipuram 
Waking up in this city of 11 million people, get a glimpse of seemingly chaotic traffic as we honk our way through to Kalakshetra Dance School. Baratha Natyam the oldest classical dance form is some times considered a form of yoga. A traditional South Indian lunch served on banana leaf at a pleasant restaurant named after a great lover of India “KIPLING” Having left the bustle of the city get over your jet lag at the sea or swimming pool ending your day with your first yoga session in the land that gave birth to this universal path to well being and spirituality beyond all religion. Day 2 | Mahabalipuram 
This is one of the best Yoga tours that you will get in India. Start your day with a yoga class or just sit on the beach and meditate with the sun rising over the Bay of Bengal. Before it gets warm, visit a part of the world heritage site of Mahabalipuram, one of the most prominent visits in South India tours, with its magnificent bas reliefs, cave temples and monolithic temples of granite. Return to the hotel to cool yourself at the poolside and contemplate on your day’s discovery. Later in the afternoon, finish your visit of Mahabalipuram with the five rathas and the shore temple. Finish your day with another yoga session before a sumptuous dinner.

Day 3 | Mahabalipuram-Thiruvanamalai 
After a restful sleep and invigorating morning yoga to get yourself prepared for a new day and a drive to Thiruvanamalai, a small town that is visited by thousands of pilgrims during the festival of “Karthikai Deepam”, dominated by the sacred hill and the vibrant Shiva temple. It also houses the ashram of Shri Ramanarishi. Before reaching Thiruvanamalai, a stop will be made to visit the Gingi Fort.

Day 4 | Thiruvanamalai-Trichy 
During a yoga tour, a good night’s sleep is essential. Rise and shine to morning yoga and meditation and contemplation of the sacred hill of Thiruvanamalai. Soon you would be driving through paddy fields to reach the industrial town of Trichy situated on the banks of the Kaveri River. At this point of the river, there is an island called “Srirangam” with the biggest temple of measuring 60 hectares and the tallest “Gopuram” or temple entrance

Day 5 | Trichy-Chettinad 
Drive to the phantom town of Kanadikathan in the region of the erstwhile Teak merchants the Chettyars. If you like cycling, here is your opportunity to discovering the beautiful mansions of the merchants on a bicycle. And if bicycle is not your cup of tea, you can think about a bullock cart ride which would be an authentic way to relive the life of the bygone era of the Chetiyars.

Day 6 | Chettinad 
Refreshing Yoga in the morning and then go back to your childhood days as you would be taken to participate in the morning assembly of a local school. Then discover a temple typical of the Tamil Nadu region. Visit a local weekly market and the famed cement tile workshop that manufactures the roof tiles of the Chettinad mansions.

Day 7 | Chettinad-Madurai 
If you are visiting between December and February and the monsoons have been generous and abundant, stop on the way at a bird sanctuary. Meenakshi Amman Koil draws thousands of pilgrims a day. Words cannot describe the energy felt in this temple. In the evening, take a break from yoga and indulge yourself in some shopping! Otherwise Madurai has spiritual depth. And if you start exploring then there is never a dearth of places to visit in Madurai. This is a day when you take a break from your Yoga tour!

Day 8 | Madurai-Periyar 
With a break from yoga this morning, head to the coolness of the hilly tracts of the Western Ghats towards Kerala at 900 meaters above sea level visit a spice plantation, have a ayurvedic massage and indulge in yoga surrounded by the lushness of nature. Ayurveda is an integral part of a wellness tour in South India.

Day 9 | Periyar 
After the morning yoga, plan out your own day with options varying from treks in the forest, ayurvedic massage, culinary classes, bamboo rafting and many more to choose according to your wishes.

Day 10 | Periyar-Kumarakom 
Going down the winding roads of the Western Ghats, enjoy the beautiful sights of tea, coffee, spice and rubber plantations. And finish the day with yoga in the midst of paddy fields on the banks of the Vembanad Lake.

Day 11 | Kumarakom
For early birds, watch Kalaripayat, arguably the oldest martial art form and mother of most martial arts in the world. Later in the morning go on to a Kettuvellam or House Boat Tour for a cruise along the back waters lunch onboard returning to your hotel in the evening.

Day 12 | Kumarakom-Cochin 
Enjoy your last few moments of this South India Tours in the calm of nature before returning to the quotidian of honking traffic as you travel to Cochin.
